16 Store Brand Items that are IDENTICAL to the Name Brand!
Saving money on groceries has been on everyone’s minds now more than ever! Sometimes we have a belief that name brands are “better” but are they really? There’s no shame in my generic game! A LOT of times these generic or store brand items are the SAME as the name brand counterpart. The ingredients are the same, and some have even been confirmed to be made in the same factories. The difference is just in the packaging (and the price!) So check out this list for your favorite pantry staples and save some real cash (up to 50%, no kidding!)
Aldi:
- Millville Cereal is just like their General Mills Counterparts. Think Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc.
- Benton Coconut Fudge Cookies, Chocolate Mint, Etc. They’re just like Girl Scout Cookies!
- Tuscan Garden Italian Restaurant Style dressing: Compare to Olive Garden Italian Dressing!
- Clancy Kettle Chips – Made by Barrel O Fun!
Walmart:
- Great Value Peanut Butter – Made by Peter Pan brand and costs about 40% less!
- Great Value Canned Vegetables – They are the SAME as Green Giant.
- Great Value Whipped Topping – Same as Cool Whip Brand and $1 less!
- Great Value White Bread – Made in the same facility as Sara Lee!
- Great Value Ice Cream – Confirmed to be the same as premium brand Blue Bunny but $1 LESS!
- Great Value Applesauce – The same as name brand Musselman’s!
- Great Value Meat – It was confirmed a while back that Tyson Chicken actually produces and packages Great Value brand chicken for Walmart. Also, it’s thought that Smithfield makes Great Value pork products.
- Great Value Brand Spices – Spices can be so pricey! GV spices are actually made by McCormick but a fraction of the price!
Costco:
- Kirkland Batteries – They are manufactured by Duracell and about 50% LESS!
- Kirkland Brand Signature Diapers – Made by Huggies!
- Kirkland Signature Coffee – it’s made by…. STARBUCKS!
- Kirkland Brand Solid White Tuna – manufactured by Bumblebee.
